How it works
I.
Connect your QuickBooks

Authorize Month's End through QuickBooks' secure OAuth flow. Takes under two minutes. We only read — never write to your books.

II.
We pull the numbers

On the first of every month, we fetch your Profit & Loss directly from QuickBooks — the exact same figures their own reports show, using your chosen accounting method.

III.
Report lands in your inbox

A board-ready PDF arrives at your address. Print it, forward it, file it — your numbers, exactly as QuickBooks recorded them, without you lifting a finger.

Why Month's End
Unmodified figures

We report precisely what QuickBooks returns — no rounding, no calculation, no interpretation. If there's a discrepancy, it originated with Intuit, and we can prove it.

Inbox delivery

No dashboards, no portals, no logins. Your report finds you on the first of every month — automatically, without you having to remember anything.

Board-ready PDF

Every report is properly formatted — company name, reporting period, revenue, expenses, net income. Hand it to your accountant or bring it straight to the table.

Secure by design

OAuth through Intuit. Read-only access. No passwords stored, no financial data sold or shared. Your books stay yours — revoke access any time from QuickBooks.

About
Built on one
simple principle.

Most small business owners never see their financials until something goes wrong. Their accountant files taxes once a year. Their bookkeeper sends a spreadsheet occasionally. Nobody sends a clean, readable report every single month.

Month's End connects directly to QuickBooks and automates what was always a manual process. The numbers we report are the numbers QuickBooks gives us — unmodified, uninterpreted, delivered to your inbox.

It is not glamorous software. It is a very reliable machine that runs quietly on the first of every month.

Frequently Asked Questions
Almost always this comes down to settings — not an error. QuickBooks reports support parameters like date range and accounting method. Two reports using different settings will legitimately show different numbers. If our PDF and QuickBooks show different figures, the first question is whether you're comparing the exact same period, same accounting method, and same report type. If those match and they still differ, that is a discrepancy between QuickBooks' API and their own interface — not something we introduced. We store the original API response so we can prove exactly what Intuit returned.
Never. Our core principle is that we report the values returned by your connected accounting system — nothing more. We do not calculate, adjust, round, or interpret your numbers. If QuickBooks returns a net income of $23,120, your report says $23,120. Your software should never say "QuickBooks gave us $18,420 but we think it should be $19,050 so we'll override it." That is not something we would ever do.
Yes. When you connect your QuickBooks account, you select which accounting method your business uses. We pass that parameter directly to the QuickBooks Profit & Loss API, so the report reflects the same basis your books are kept on. Switching methods is straightforward if your needs change.
Every existing QuickBooks reporting tool assumes you will log into a dashboard. They are built for accountants and CFOs who actively manage financial data. Month's End is built for the business owner who is not going to log into anything — the plumber running an $800,000 operation, the contractor, the salon owner. Your report finds you. A clean PDF arrives in your inbox on the first of every month, without you doing anything.
Read-only access to your accounting data, authorized through Intuit's official OAuth flow. We can read your Profit & Loss report and company information. We cannot write to QuickBooks, create transactions, or modify anything in your books. You can revoke access at any time directly from your QuickBooks account settings.
On the first of each month. We run the report for the prior month — so on August 1st, you receive your July Profit & Loss. The email arrives in the morning. The report covers the full prior calendar month using whichever accounting method you selected at setup.
We store your report data to maintain a delivery record — this is how we confirm what was sent and when. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties, or use it for any purpose other than generating your report. Your QuickBooks credentials are never stored; only the OAuth tokens Intuit provides, which you can revoke at any time.
